feedback march 31

The main visual elements are the family at the table and the boy is still so small and young and he already has a blog in school. The issue in this cartoon is that the boy doesn’t want to explain how his day was and instead just want his parents to read his blog, but his parents want him to talk. The cartoonist opinion thinks the boy should talk and not depend on technology as much. On the saying under the cartoon the word tell is capitalized and underlined. The cartoon isn’t ironic because people do depend on technology to much and don’t do anything really for themselves. The cartoonist could have made the cartoon more persuasive by giving more facts and design a little more.

feedback

I believe Vonnegut is right. The man who invented computers didn’t let technology do the work he did. Making the computer made him famous and that is what he became. I agree with him when he says nuclear submarines and missiles are newfangled contraptions. So Vonnegut is right and I do believe that it is yopu becoming and we should not let the computer do it for us. All the great inventors thought of the idea befor they made it. So that is them becoming.

End of Quarter 3 Goals.

I achieved only two of my goals I dint not achieve my AR goal which I am very disappointed at myself for that. I do believe that I got better at my oral communication and at finding research for projects. For next quarter and next year I have three goals for myself that I hope to achieve.

1. To get even better on my oral communication in class.

2. Be on top and on the right level for the population project as well as any other assignments.

3. To get my vocabulary and writing skills higher.

cold war debrief

1. Which country were you? What strategy did you use to try to win?
My group and i were the USA. We treied to buy as many allies as we could. As well as economic, food, and military points to bribe other contries. We also bought alot of weapon power and military to fight off the other contries in attacks.

2. Who won the game and why? Who won the “real” Cold War?
I really dont think anyone really won the game. The US got more points but the USSR got more allies which means more of the world wanted to be communists. In the real cold war the USA won. But the USA still got some of the major developing contries in this game that is why we got more points. But the USSR got more allies who have smaller econimic ponts with larger goals.
so no one actually won this war in the simmulation

VC Project

At first when we started to record, the computer kept dropping out and our VC kept closing. So we needed to use a new computer. Our process took a long time. We needed to learn our lines. And we were very worried because our computers stopped working.

The three tips I would give you when doing your VC presentation

  1. make sure your mic. Is on.
  2. make sure you and your group agree on everything.
  3. memories your lines so you can look into the camera more.

The two worst aspects were

  1. the computer stopped working
  2. we didn’t memories our lines so we didn’t look into the camera as much.

The two best parts were

  1. we learned new ways to do a presentation.
  2. learned how to use a VC.
