Feedback May 5.
During the population project I learned how to take information and write about it.
I also learned how to tell if the information was accurate or not. I learned the literacy rate and all the effects and the cycles. Those are the three most important things I learned. They will help me in the future. They will help me with understanding the culture of

sameness vs. equality
In the giver not everyone is equal they are just the same to be equal everyone should get their own rights and they are able to feel and have differences. To be equal is to have the same rights and freedom. To be the same is to feel and think the same to have very few rights and to be identical in feeling and opinions. Lois Lowry uses the her language more precisely because in the giver every person is the same not equal but in animal farm all the animals are supposed to be equal but end up lower than others.

One becomes an adult when they are mature enough to make decision, to care for yourself and understand that people make mistakes. When a child needs help they ask their parents for help, or when they make a mistake they are scared that they will get into trouble and that everything revolves around there consequences of what they did that was wrong and they cant care for themselves. When you get mature and grow up you understand that everyone makes mistakes and that the consequences will not ruin everything in your life.
To be an adult you must understand all these things and be able to work and do your daily things. To be able to take care of others as well as yourself. I don’t think there is an age you can be useless when you are younger or when your old you may be minimized to what you can do but you are not useless.

The main visual elements are the family at the table and the boy is still so small and young and he already has a blog in school. The issue in this cartoon is that the boy doesn’t want to explain how his day was and instead just want his parents to read his blog, but his parents want him to talk. The cartoonist opinion thinks the boy should talk and not depend on technology as much. On the saying under the cartoon the word tell is capitalized and underlined. The cartoon isn’t ironic because people do depend on technology to much and don’t do anything really for themselves. The cartoonist could have made the cartoon more persuasive by giving more facts and design a little more.

I believe Vonnegut is right. The man who invented computers didn’t let technology do the work he did. Making the computer made him famous and that is what he became. I agree with him when he says nuclear submarines and missiles are newfangled contraptions. So Vonnegut is right and I do believe that it is yopu becoming and we should not let the computer do it for us. All the great inventors thought of the idea befor they made it. So that is them becoming.

I achieved only two of my goals I dint not achieve my AR goal which I am very disappointed at myself for that. I do believe that I got better at my oral communication and at finding research for projects. For next quarter and next year I have three goals for myself that I hope to achieve.
1. To get even better on my oral communication in class.
2. Be on top and on the right level for the population project as well as any other assignments.
3. To get my vocabulary and writing skills higher.

cold war debrief
My group and i were the USA. We treied to buy as many allies as we could. As well as economic, food, and military points to bribe other contries. We also bought alot of weapon power and military to fight off the other contries in attacks.
2. Who won the game and why? Who won the “real” Cold War?
I really dont think anyone really won the game. The US got more points but the USSR got more allies which means more of the world wanted to be communists. In the real cold war the USA won. But the USA still got some of the major developing contries in this game that is why we got more points. But the USSR got more allies who have smaller econimic ponts with larger goals.
so no one actually won this war in the simmulation

VC Project
At first when we started to record, the computer kept dropping out and our VC kept closing. So we needed to use a new computer. Our process took a long time. We needed to learn our lines. And we were very worried because our computers stopped working.
The three tips I would give you when doing your VC presentation
- make sure your mic. Is on.
- make sure you and your group agree on everything.
- memories your lines so you can look into the camera more.
The two worst aspects were
- the computer stopped working
- we didn’t memories our lines so we didn’t look into the camera as much.
The two best parts were
- we learned new ways to do a presentation.
- learned how to use a VC.

Animal farm, the movie : )
I think the movie is very different from the book. There are a lot of changes. In the movie old major got shot by Mr. Jones but in the book he died of old age. The changed the national anthem. Old major got chopped up and sold so man can eat him. Also Mr. Jones and Mrs. P slept together while Mr. P slept because he was drunk. Jessie the dog had babies in the movie but in the book the pigs had babies. Instead of the storm ruining the windmill Mr. Jones blew it up with dynamite. But snowball was still blamed. In the end napoleon dies and the animals are free and they get new owners but in the book napoleon just turns into a human and that’s the end of the book. In the movie the animals live happily ever after. So the movie and the book are very different. I personally like the book much better than the movie.

the animal im most like in animal farm
The animal I am most like would be clover. I would be clover because I just listen and do what I am told. She does not go against napoleon and what he says. She just follow along and don’t really rebel. When she feels something is not right the n she goes and checks over the rules. Like on page 45 it says clover , who thought she remembered a rule against beds she went to the barn to read the seven commandments. Another example from the book is on page 49 when it says only boxer and clover never lost heart. Which would be that they still followed with what napoleon said. This is why i am most like clover.

The king is dead!
we had many diffuculties with the laws he made. We also had taxation without representation just like the 13 colonies. we had minimum religious freedom as the citizens of the 13 colonies had. we had to have a stamp on all paper that was bought by our money. This is called the stamp act. We had a curfue and could not speack what we had to say. If we did not follow these laws we had to go to georgia and were conflicted of treason. Just as the citizens of the 13 colonies. We planned on a decleration of indepandance treaty but got over rulled by the kings loyal citizens. Since we had to pay royal taxes and fees most of the people were poor.

decleration of independance sumary
King George the third did many horrible things to the people he ruled over
For example he imposed taxes on the people without their say. The people who were very poor must have disagreed with this very strongly. He also took the people as captives to fight against their own country, friends and family. King George also cut off the trading from other parts of the world. He put huge bodies of armed troops with them. King George also brought the people to jury on cases that may not be true.
The people of America we now state you are free men. We take you away from the unjustful treatment from King George. We are enemies in war and friends in peace therefore we are all equal. As a new free country the document says we are now free from taxation without representation and treated equal.

The main visual issues would be the words join or die the countries are all separated on the snake. The issues the political cartoon is about was there were argument, fighting, and disagreements in opinions and they all got separated. The cartoonists opinion on this issue would be the cartoonist compares the 13 colonies to a snake so maybe he doesn’t like the idea of the 13 colonies The evidence that supports my opinion would be the words join and die are in capitals and everyone is separated. To make the cartoon more persuasive the cartoonist could have supported the issue on join or die part.

To Be A Slave
To Be A Slave can be trusted. This is because there are so many experiences by different people and they all say something similar about slavery it is not a good way to treat humans. They all make a statement saying that slavery is not a very well thing and its like treating the slaves like dirt. As well as being trusted the book can not trusted. The reasons the book can not be trusted is because the author wasn’t there. The author wasn’t even alive.
